is a Montessori curriculum management tool.
It is designed purposely to guide teachers and students in selecting the
Montessori materials that best serve the academic needs of the curriculum and
content being studied. Albanesi is
aligned with Math and Language Arts Common Core State Standards.
Albanesi Work Flow
the beginning of each school year students will be assessed using their
corresponding grade level review tests to determine which work plan they should
begin their work on. Over the course of
the year students will complete work plans, task cards and review tests until
they have completed all necessary work plans for the grade level they are
working at. Students will then take the
Mastery Expectation: Students must achieve 90% success on all
assessment areas to move on to the next set of work plans or grade level work.
Plan – A work plan outlines the knowledge and skills being worked on and the
associated task card the students will complete to practice these knowledge and
Cards – Task cards outline specific Montessori tools and “tasks” students must
complete for the knowledge and skill they are working on.
Tests – Review tests assess student ability to master each of the knowledge and
skill areas in a work plan. Students
must achieve 90% success in each of the knowledge and skill areas to move on to
the next work plan.
Tests – Grade tests assess student ability to master all areas covered in every
work plan for a specific grade level. Students must achieve 90% success to move
to the next grade level work.
